Scientific Name: Citrus bergamia
Botant: Bergamot is the fruit of the Bergamot tree belonging to the Rutaceae family, its fruit is the size of a small orange and takes on a dark greenish color, it is an evergreen tree that reaches a height of 7 to 8 meters, has green leaves, smooth and oval, its white flowers give a very perfumed aroma.
Origin and History: Native to tropical Asia, bergamot is currently grown mainly in southern Italy, as well as in Argentina and Brazil. It has been used as a flavoring agent for many dishes, especially in confectionery and also in the famous Earl Gray variety.
Aromatic Biochemistry:
linalyl acetate, limonene, gamma terpinene, beta pinene, linalool
Therapeutic Properties: Antibacterial, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, digestive, calming, sedative of the central nervous system, anxiolytic, regenerating and skin tonic.
Therapeutic Uses: Loss of appetite, difficult digestion, colitis, dyspepsia, cystitis, acne, eczema, psoriasis, seborrhea, anxiety, stress, depression.
Energetic Aromatherapy: Linked to the Manipura Solar Chakra: Solar Plexus, its color is yellow, its element is fire.
Bergamot essential oil eliminates tensions, restores vitality and balances emotions.
How to Use:
- By Diffusion: 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser of your preference.
- Oral Administration: 2 drops of essential oil mixed with honey, twice a day, for digestive and nervous disorders.
- On the Skin: 2 drops of essential oil + 5 drops of vegetable oil:
ATTENTION: The Italian Bergamot essential oil is photosensitizing, do not apply to the skin before sun exposure.

Flammable. Oral use for medical indication. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age, and pregnant or lactating women.
