ROSEWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL

Scientific Name: Aniba rosaeodora

Botany: Rosewood is a tropical tree, belonging to the Lauraceae family. This tropical tree with medium-sized persistent leaves grows in the Amazonian virgin forest. The bark and heart are red while the flowers are golden.

Origin and Hisotry: Originally from Brazil, it is a threatened species and is currently protected, so harvesting from sustainable sources is only allowed. The heartwood of this tree was at one time highly prized for cabinetmaking and making musical instruments. The essential oil is distilled from sawdust and chips created by working in the wood. This wood is said to have a smell similar to that of roses, hence its name. The essential oil is used in perfumery and cosmetics.

Therapeutic Uses: Pediatric bronchopulmonary infections: rhinopharyngitis, bronchitis, flu, urinary and gynecological infections: cystitis, vaginitis, leukorrhea, vulvitis, cutaneous, nail and gynecological mycoses, depression, exhaustion, nervous fatigue, acne, bedsores, wrinkles.

Energetic Aromatherapy: Linked to the Sahasrara Crown Chakra, its color is violet, its element is Light.

How to Use: 
- By Diffusion: 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser of your preference.
- On the Skin: 10 drops of essential oil + 50 ml of vegetable oil.
- Oral Administration: 2 drops of essential oil mixed with honey, once a day, against for angina, otitis or laryngitis.

Employment Precautions: 
Flammable. Oral use for medical indication. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age, and pregnant or lactating women.
