TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL

Scientific Name: Melaleuca alternifolia

Botany:  Tree belonging to the Myrtaceae family, in the wild it can reach up to 8 m in height, it has persistent light green foliage and its white flowers grouped in spikes or clusters emit a very penetrating aroma.

Origin and History: Originally from Australia, Australian Aboriginal peoples have been taking advantage of its medicinal properties for millennia, the name of  «Tea tree» Melaleuca was adopted by the English on their expeditions in the 13th century, as its leaves served as a substitute for tea for British sailors.

terpinene-I-ol-4, gammaterpinene, alpha pinene, alpha terpineol

Therapeutic Properties:Powerful antibacterial, antiseptic, fungicidal, parasiticidal, antiviral and immunostimulating, decongestant, skin protector in radiotherapy sessions.

Therapeutic Uses: Oral infections (aphthosis, stomatitis, abscess, gingivitis), bacterial or viral infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract (sinusitis, rhinitis, otitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis), ulcers, acne, abscesses, head and body lice , urinary and gynecological infections, cutaneous mycoses, lymphatic edema, varicose veins, heavy legs, hemorrhoids, prevention of skin burn by radiotherapy, cutaneous or intestinal parasites.

Energetic Aromatherapy: Linked to the Vishuddha Chakra, its color is blue, its element is ether. 

How to Use: 
- By Diffusion: 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser of your choice.
- On the Skin: 3 drops of essential oil + 2 drops of vegetable oil for cutaneous mycosis. 
- Oral Administration: 2 drops of essential oil mixed with honey for all conditions, the treatment may not exceed 6 days.

Precautions:
Flammable. Oral use for medical indication. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age, and pregnant or lactating women.
