LAVANDIN ABRIALIS ESSENTIAL OIL

Scientific Name: Lavandula burnatii

Botánica: Lavandin belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It is a spontaneous hybrid between Lavender angustifolia officinalis and Lavender, it developed thanks to the pollination of insects in the area shared by the two parent varieties. The lavandin has longer stems of about 60 to 80 cm. and a thicker flowery spike, characterized by the presence of two lateral spikelets. There are different varieties of Lavandin, the most used are Grosso and Abrialis, these lavandulas are distinguished by the camphor content in their essential oil.

Origin and History:  Originally from France and the Mediterranean basin, Lavandin oil has been produced for more than 100 years and is widely used in the perfumery and aromatherapy industry. Traditional medicine uses it as a remedy for relaxation and sensory stimulation, although it also has anti-inflammatory and anti-pain properties, it is also applied as an antiseptic and disinfectant and even as an insect repellent.

linalyl acetate, linalool, camphor, terpinen-4-ol, 1,8 cineole (eucalyptol)

Therapeutic Properties: Analgesic, antibacterial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, healing, soothing, relaxing and sedative.

Therapeutic Uses: Hypertension, palpitations, extrasystoles, cramps, muscle contractures, depressive states, headaches, migraines, dermatoses, skin infections, menstrual cramps, allergies, sores, burns, bedsores, nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, sleep disturbances, pimples, acne, pain relief.

How to Use: 
- By Diffusion: 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser of your preference.
- On the Skin: 5 drops of essential oil + 5 drops of vegetable oil.
- Oral Administration: 3 drops of essential oil mixed with honey, 3 times a day, for nervous tension.

Employment Precautions: 
Flammable. Oral use for medical indication. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age, and pregnant or lactating women.
