ITALIAN LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

Scientific Name: Citrus limonum

Botany: The lemon tree belongs to the Rustaceae family, of the Citrus genus. It is an evergreen tree of low height, it can reach 6 meters, its leaves are bright green and very aromatic white flowers, its fruit is lemon, a citrus that measures 8 to 12 centimeters long, its color is green. and turns yellow when ripe.

Origin and History: Citrus limonum is a native of India or China, it was cultivated in the 10th century before our era. In some civilizations the rind of the fruit was burned during the period of the great plague. In India it is offered in the form of a necklace to the deities. Today, the lemon tree is cultivated in the Mediterranean and subtropical regions for its fruit from which the essence and juice are extracted. It is the quintessential symbol of cleanliness and sanitation, its uses in the field of cosmetics, aromatherapy and gastronomy are very varied and widespread.

How to Use: 
- By Diffusion: 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser of your preference.
- On the Skin: 2 drops of essential oil + 20 drops of vegetable oil.
ATTENTION: Italian Lemon essential oil is photosensitizing, do not apply to the skin before sun exposure.
- Oral Administration: 2 drops of essential oil mixed with honey, 3 times a day, in case of digestive infection or cold.

Flammable. Oral use for medical indication. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Not recommended for children under 3 years of age, and pregnant or lactating women.
